Grilled Chicken with Peach Sauce Review

Peach chicken. The thought was a little odd at first, but I've loved fruit and meat combined in the past so I figured it had to be good.

The fact that this recipe had only 5 ingredients made it even better. How easy is that? 5 ingredients and a total prep time of maybe 10 minutes. Super quick and easy.

It even looks great. I was kind of excited to let my taste buds explore the bursts of flavor in this recipe. I must say that it's very sweet. The fresh peach really made this much better. If it weren't for the fresh peach, I would have thrown this out. I really didn't like this as much as I thought I would. I was kind of disappointed. :( I feel it needed some salt or onion or garlic and some more crunch to it. The sauce didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked. I think that's where my true disappointment and dislike came into play.

Everett really didn't like it. I was surprised by this as he LOVES peaches and jell-o. Both of which are in this recipe. He ran to me saying "I don't like that chicken." Granted, he's not had a terrific day and is a very picky eater. But then again, he's 2.

Hubby refused to give a review saying he wanted to comment on the blog instead. Look for his comments- coming soon to a computer near you!
I will not make it again unless I change it up- A LOT! Essentially, reinvent the recipe. Some may like it, but it's not for me. Hmm... but maybe it's a decent base recipe. I'll have to play around with it.

  1. Ok So I thought it was very sweet and you really cant use any kind of condiment to help it out because of the sweetness. ( I usually put ranch with my chicken but peach and ranch did not sound appetizing) but this definetly had alot of potential. All it needs is some kind of spice or seasoning mixed into the sauce like that carribean jerk seasoning or something to contrast the sweet and this would be very good. I did liked the fresh fruit aspect of it though. Very tasty.
